On July 8, 2021, Mr. Patrick Nijs, Co-Founder of the EU-China Joint Innovation Center and Former Belgian ambassador to China was invited by the CCPIT and Gansu Provincial People's Government to deliver the keynote speech at the 2nd Belt and Road Commercial Law (the Yellow River) Forum, sub-forum of the 27th China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair.

With the theme of Challenges of Commercial Risk and Legal Protection under the Great Change, the forum was organized by the CCPIT and Gansu Provincial People's Government, and co-organized by the CCPIT Legal Affairs Department, International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), Gansu CCPIT, Gansu International Chamber of Commerce and Gansu University of Political Science and Law.
